Rally Pack Renault Monte Carlo 1987

In 1986, Renault introduced a Gr.A version of its 11 Turbo. The future premier class of world rallying, which replaced the Gr.B category, was already making its name in national championships. In France, Jean Ragnotti, a loyal driver for the brand for ten years, was put in charge of driving this new R11 Gr.A. After a decent first season spent getting the hang of the car, Jean Ragnotti kicked off his 1987 season—entirely focused on the World Championship—with the traditional Monte Carlo Rally. He took advantage of the arrival of Group A in the WRC to compete with the sport’s top drivers in this opening round. “Jeannot” did not disappoint, securing a fine 6th place, just ahead of his teammate François Chatriot. The OT1131 is a 1/18-scale rally set. It consists of a modelcar Renault Master truck and the Renault 11 Turbo Gr. A.
